Dr. Knowles has always pursued a healthy lifestyle and he believes that mental health can be optimized when self-care is elevated to a priority. At its most basic level, a healthy lifestyle means getting enough sleep, having good nutrition, and engaging in regular exercise. When your work and family obligations have been met, having things you enjoy like favorite activities and interests is very important, whether by yourself or with others.
When not working with clients, Dr. Knowles engages in a multitude of activities such as mountain biking, skiing, fishing, golfing, running and weight lifting. He enjoys these activities with his wife, family and friends, and when they’re not available, he’s just fine doing these things on his own. When relaxing, he can be found at home, working on projects or just kicking back on the couch watching TV.
